Due to the recent outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, we here at Maxim Fitness would like to address certain concerns our clients may have. Maxim Fitness is dedicated in maintaining gym cleanliness and sanitation by wiping down ALL machines and equipment at least twice a day (with clients wiping down after themselves).
Aside from maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, we are also keeping a log of all clients coming into and out of the gym in the event that someone may be in contact with the virus. Since our gym is a private facility, there is less foot traffic thus significantly decreasing chances of exposure and contamination compared to public gyms. We ask that any members experiencing flu-like symptoms or have possibly been in contact with the virus in the last 14 days to remain at home.
During this time, memberships will be limited. Please call us first at 905-604-3993 to see if we are open.
It’s important that everyone stays calm during this time – misinformation and panic has so far been the greatest outcome of this virus. As long as everyone keeps washing their hands and taking the necessary precautions such as staying away from overcrowded areas, this, like SARS, will pass.
On a side note, with the increasing amounts of fear mongering and misinformation, remember to fact check your information with a reliable source such as the World Health Organization. They have free, credible information and address common questions and concerns on their website.
Message Update (3/20/2020): Social distancing is in effect and we are currently limiting the amount of people using the facility at once. Due to the increased volume of people, we will no longer be offering day passes at this time. Memberships will require a 3 month purchase until the situation dies down. Thanks for understanding.
